During February several unlocked vehicles were entered and property was stolen. Always lock you car and don’t leave your wallet inside it.
A number of crimes were solved this month, all involving offenders from the Logan area. They see this area as the start of the Gold Coast and having easy access to the Pacific Motorway. Make sure you protect your property and make it harder for them to get at us.
Burglary
1/2/2012 Princeton Street: The offender/s has gained entry by jemmying a glass sliding door and stolen laptop computers, electrical items and jewellery.
11/2/2012 Cawley Place: The offender/s has gained entry by forcing a security screen and laundry door and stolen a computer and games console.
14/2/2012 Leander Circuit: SOLVED. The three offenders gained entry by breaking open the front door. The offenders placed property into the victims BMW sedan, which was also stolen. The vehicle and one offender was located at Shailer Park, two offenders are yet to be located.
20/2/2012 Villanova Avenue: The offender/s has gained entry after jemmying two doors and stolen jewellery and electrical items.
28/2/2012 Silky Oak Court: The offender/s has attempted to gain entry to the unit by slicing flyscreens and trying to slide windows open.
Break and enter premises
4/2/2012 Old Pacific Highway: The offender/s has gained entry to two businesses by jemmying the front door. The businesses have been searched and cash stolen.
13/2/2012 Michigan Drive: The offender/s has gained entry to the day-care centre after climbing onto a patio roof. No property was stolen.
21/2/2012 Cottonwood Place: The offender/s has broken into two businesses beside an ATM in an attempt to gain entry to the machine. Nil property was stolen.
23/2/2012 Old Pacific Highway: SOLVED. The three juvenile offenders have gained entry to the restaurant by smashing a window with a chair. The offenders were located in a stolen car at Waterford West.
28/2/2012 Old Pacific Highway. The offender/s has gained entry to the shop by smashing the front window and stolen stock from inside.
28/2/2012 Michigan Drive. The offender/s has gained entry to a classroom and attempted to steal a projector mounted to the ceiling, causing extensive damage.
28/02/2012 Riversdale Road. The offender/s has gained entry to a shipping container by cutting a padlock. Unknown if any property stolen.
Steal from motor vehicle
20/2/2012 California Drive: The victims unlocked Ford and Holden sedans were left in the driveway, the offender/s opened a door and stolen the victim’s wallets.
20/2/2012 Missouri Way: The victims unlocked Nissan utility was parked in the driveway, the offender/s opened a door to steal the victim’s wallet.
Wilful damage
3/2/2012 Oceanis Drive: The offender/s has slashed all five tyres of a Mitsubishi Triton utility whilst it was parked in the victim’s driveway.
3/2/2012 Tamborine Oxenford Road: The offender/s has attended the Community and Youth Centre and spray painted graffiti on a Toyota mini-bus in the car park.
