ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION PARADISE POINT

Attempted Abduction, Paradise Point: Police are appealing for the public’s assistance with locating a man who attempted to abduct a 15-year-old girl yesterday (2.3.2010) near the intersection of Paradise Parade and Nankeen Avenue at Paradise Point.

Around 2.45pm the man, driving a black four door car, drove past the girl and then turned around at a roundabout and drove back towards her. The man approached the girl who was walking and offered to give her a lift home.

The girl declined his offer and kept walking east along Paradise Parade. The man then reversed his vehicle and threatened the girl to get into the car. The girl refused again and ran home and contacted police. The man was last seen facing westward on Paradise Parade towards the roundabout at Bruce Avenue.

The man is described as being in his mid 20’s; of Caucasian appearance with short brown hair, medium build, and wearing a white short sleeve t-shirt. He was driving a black four door sedan or hatchback.
