October Crime Statistics

The last month has seen three vehicles stolen from our area, two of which were probably “joyriders”. There were also three burglaries, all where the offender entered by the rear yard prior to gaining entry. One offender from the Gold Coast was caught, but is not responsible for all offences. One offender from the Logan area was arrested for the two steal from motor vehicle offences which occurred at Cotton wood Place.

Burglary
4/10/2011 Maidenhead Court: The offender entered the rear yard of the premises and smashed a glass door to gain entry. Computers, jewellery, and electrical items were stolen from the house.

9/10/2011 Flinders Park Court: The offender entered the rear yard of the premises and jemmied a security screen & glass door to gain entry. Computers and electrical items were stolen from the house.

30/10/2011 Paddy Place: SOLVED The offender has entered the rear yard of the premises and gained entry by forcing a rear door. The offender was disturbed inside the house by the victim’s son. The offender was located by police shortly afterwards.

Break and enter premises
29/10/2011 Cottonwood Place: The offender jemmied the rear door of the business to gain entry. No items were reported as stolen.

29/10/2011 Cottonwood Place: The offenders jemmied the rear door of the business to gain entry. Computers, cash and mobile phones were stolen from the business.

Theft of motor vehicle
17/10/2011 White City Drive: The victim’s Holden station wagon was parked locked and secured outside her address. The vehicle was located burnt out at Clagiraba.

24/10/2011 Essen Place: The victim’s Holden sedan was parked locked and secured outside his address. The vehicle was located shortly afterwards by police in a ditch on Oxenford – Tamborine Road.

28/10/2011 Old Pacific Highway: The victim’s Nissan refrigerated utility was parked locked and secured on the roadway. The vehicle has not been located.

Steal from motor vehicle
2/10/2011 Cottonwood Place: SOLVED The victim’s Hyundai sedan was parked in the Woolworths staff car park. The offender has smashed the left front window & stolen property from inside the vehicle.

Stealing of vehicle registration plates
2/10/2011 Cottonwood Place: SOLVED The victim’s Nissan sedan was parked in the Woolworths staff car park. The offender has removed both plates and left a stolen plate attached to the vehicle.

Wilful damage
7/10/2011 Michigan Drive: The offenders have entered the Oxenford State School grounds and bent over two football goal posts and a light pole.
