Crime Report for April 2011
This month has seen a mixture of offences at both businesses and homes. Thieves have also tried to steal machinery from the child-care centre site, after stealing a machine last month. In many cases the criminals have needed to overcome security to steal property.
Burglary
08/04/2011 Indiana Court: The offenders entered the rear yard prior to breaking into a car and a work shed. A small number of tools were taken.
15/04/2011 Oceanis Drive: The offenders entered the property from a vacant block and smashed a glass sliding door to gain entry. Jewellery & other articles were stolen from the main bedroom before the alarm sounded.
18/04/2011 Regatta Avenue: Attempt. The offender entered the rear yard of the premises and attempted to open security screen doors without success.
Break and enter premises
29/04/2011 Tamborine Oxenford Road: Offenders have gained entry to the equipment shed at the cricket grounds but jemmying a wall panel. A lawn mower, blower and golf buggy were stolen.
29/04/2011 Cottonwood Place: Offenders have attempted to jemmy the front door of the business without success, prior to attending the rear door which they broke to gain entry. A safe was stolen from the storeroom.
30/04/2011 Old Pacific Hwy: Offenders have tried to force open a vending machine at the automatic car wash, prior to be scared off by the alarm. Nil entry gained to the machine.
Theft of boat
13/04/2011 Brittany Drive: The victims 3.7m Stessel boat & trailer was chained to the front fence of the incident address. Unknown offenders have cut the chain and stolen the boat.
Attempted theft of machinery
19/04/2011 Ruth Terrace: Offenders have attended a building construction site & attempted to start a bobcat & excavator, but decamped when the machines could not be started.
Steal from motor vehicle
07/04/2011 Old Pacific Hwy: Whilst the victim was at the gym, offenders have smashed a window of her car, reached in and stole her handbag and a bag of clothing.
Wilful damage
09/04/2011 Oberon Way: The suspects have slashed two horse blankets prior to filling the letter box with horse manure. The suspects have then damaged the letter box.
02/04/2011 Regatta Avenue: The offenders have thrown a number of eggs at the front of the house. A white Hyundai was seen to drive past shortly afterwards.
29/04/2011 Cottonwood Place: Offenders have thrown rocks through a glass door of the butchery breaking one panel. A rock has also broken a glass display area, spraying meat with shards.
