March 2011 : Name the Upper Coomera pool, youth and community centre and library
Please help Council to name the new facilities at the corner of Reserve Road and Abraham Road, Upper Coomera. This project has always been referred to as the Upper Coomera Community Hub.Unfortunately, there is now a commercial entity called The Hub at the corner of Days Road and Old Coach Road, Upper Coomera which has created confusion within the community.
This $26 million project is the first Gold Coast City master planned development that comprises all of the facilities mentioned above - and settling on a name is proving challenging. Please email your ideas to Cllr Donna Gates at

Division 1 is our neighbouring Division (Oxenford is in Division 2 - with Cr John Wayne) and comprises Alberton, Cedar Creek, Coomera and Upper Coomera, Gilberton, Jacobs Well, Kingsholme, Luscombe, Norwell, Ormeau, Ormeau Hills, Pimpama, Southern Moreton Bay Islands, Stapylton, Steiglitz, Willow Vale, Wongawallan, Woongoolba and Yatala.
