Could you please pass on, through your networks - that I received advice from a paddler on the Regatta Lake, that he was harassed by a Bull Shark recently.
Council officers have advised me that the Griffith Uni Shark Experts will be on the lake as soon as possible, in an attempt to catch and / or determine if this is correct.
Please advise your readers that Council wishes to discourage any primary contact with this lake... i.e. swimming particularly. Further studies into water quality and this potential shark issue will be relayed to you when known.
