BACK TO SCHOOL

You are probably aware (or celebrating) that the schools are back from the 27th of January. This means that near the Oxenford State School (and all schools) there will be reduced speed restrictions before & after school. At Oxenford S.S., it is a 40Km/h zone between 7:30-9:00am & 2:30-4:00pm. Please ensure that you drive slowly & carefully, as there will be many new schoolchildren.

Police from the Traffic Branch and Coomera Police will be actively working in the school zones; for not only speeding but also looking for seatbelts, mobile phones, school crossings and unsafe parking issues. Remember that you must stop for schoolchildren using pedestrian crossings, even if the flags are down. Parking is likely to be bad, so it is probably a good opportunity to promote a healthy lifestyle & walk to and from school with your kids, even if only once a week. It will help the traffic & you can see what a great area we live in.
