Our speaker for November is Des Lacy who started his police career on the Gold Coast 40 years ago as a cadet and became the Gold Coast District‟s Acting Chief Superintendent. During his career, he has been a hostage negotiator, trained young officers and has been sent to the US for numerous FBI courses. Des Lacy will soon join the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) in the high-profile role of security manager. We are all looking forward to hearing Mr Lacy speak on his

Looking ahead to 2016, the dates of our meetings will
be as follows: 23rd February, 10th May, 9th August (AGM) and 8th
November. Our Christmas Party will be on 13th Dec in 2016. All meetings
(as well as the Christmas party) take place at 7pm on Tuesdays. They all take place at the Oxenford and Coomera Youth and Community Centre.
