During September, there was one
burglary reported to police, but of interest there were two trailers stolen, of
which one was securely chained to a tree. The theft of trailers appears to be
an ongoing problem, with about 8-10 stolen from Oxenford every year. If you have a trailer, wherever possible:
- Store
the trailer away from public view;
- Secure
the trailer with a quality hitch lock, wheel clamp or chain; and
- Have
photographs of the trailer and any particular identifying marks.
I’ll have full details of all
the crimes committed in our area at our next meeting at 7pm on Tuesday 10
November at the Oxenford Community and Youth Centre.
