CRIME REPORT FOR MARCH 2014

During March there were four crimes reported to police in our area.
Please be wary of scammers by phone or email as there has been an increase recently, including a new scam claiming to be from Telstra Bigpond.  I will include further details in next month’s NHW Newsletter.
Burglary
03/03/2014 Regatta Avenue: Unknown offender/s has gained entry to the house by removing a flyscreen and forcing a bedroom window open.  Electrical items have been stolen.
Theft of motor vehicle
15/03/2014 Cottonwood Place: Unknown offenders have stolen a motorbike from the staff car park at Woolworths.  As the bike’s wheel was secured, it was dragged across the road and abandoned behind the shops near the cricket club.
Stealing of vehicle registration plates
19/03/2014 Old Pacific Highway: The victim’s Nissan utility was parked in the council car park when unknown offender/s removed both number plates.
Wilful damage
23/03/2014 Old Tamborine Road: Unknown offender/s has cut the chain and padlock securing a water ski jump moored on the Coomera River.
If you have any information in relation to any of these offences, call Coomera Police on 5519 5555 or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
