During March there were four
crimes reported to police in our area.
Please be wary of scammers by phone or email as there has been an
increase recently, including a new scam claiming to be from Telstra Bigpond. I will include
further details in next month’s NHW Newsletter.
Burglary
03/03/2014 Regatta Avenue: Unknown
offender/s has gained entry to the house by removing a flyscreen and forcing a
bedroom window open. Electrical items
have been stolen.
Theft of motor vehicle
15/03/2014 Cottonwood Place: Unknown offenders have stolen a motorbike from the
staff car park at Woolworths. As the
bike’s wheel was secured, it was dragged across the road and abandoned behind
the shops near the cricket club.
Stealing of vehicle registration plates
19/03/2014 Old Pacific Highway:
The victim’s Nissan utility was parked in the council car park when unknown
offender/s removed both number plates.
Wilful damage
23/03/2014 Old Tamborine Road: Unknown
offender/s has cut the chain and padlock securing a water ski jump moored on
the Coomera River .
