The May 2013 meeting of Oxenford Neighboiurhood Watch took place last night at the Oxenford and Coomera Youth and Community Centre. For five of the people who attended - this was their first time at a Neighbourhood Watch meeting.
Police Liaison Officer Sgt Andrew Lake read the crime report for Oxenford for 20/02 to 14/05 - the offences included an armed robbery, 5 steals from motor vehicle, a few cases of wilful damage and 5 burglaries.
Mark Boothman MP State Member for Albert attended and brought residents up to date with issues such as the recent gun amnesty and hooning statistics. Mark Boothman MP also spoke of the recent Queensland Plan meeting in Mackay.
William owen Jones talked of signage needed to the ALDI car park for those exiting and also of the possibility of the Pony Club becoming a venue for a Mens' Shed in conjunction with Coomera Vallery Rotary. he also talked about the recent ANZAC services and other local issues.
