CRIME REPORT - JANUARY 2017


After December where only a small number of crimes were reported to police, Oxenford suffered a large number of offences in January, including two burglaries in Sea Eagle Lagoon and three cars being stolen.
Full details of all the crimes in our area will be provided at our next meeting on Tuesday 21 February at the Oxenford Youth and Community Centre at 7pm.
Burglary
14/01/2017 Michigan Drive: Attempt - Unknown offender has attempted to enter the victim's unit by forcing a locked sliding door. Nil entry gained and nil stolen.
23/01/2017 Danielle Street: Unknown offender/s has entered the rear yard of the victim’s property and gained entry to the house by breaking the kitchen window. The offender has stolen electrical goods from inside prior to exiting through the front door.
25/01/2017 Danielle Street: Unknown offender/s has entered the rear yard of the victim's house and gained entry by jemmying a window. The offender/s has stolen cash and jewellery from the house.
Theft of motor vehicle
25/01/2017 Nevada Place: Unknown offender/s has entered the victim's yard and gained entry and started a Holden utility parked beside the house. The offender/s has driven off in the vehicle, also taking a kayak which was beside the vehicle.
28/01/2017 Ruth Terrace: SOLVED - The offenders gained entry to the victim's Mitsubishi utility and Toyota hatches by unknown means and started and drove off in both vehicles. The vehicles and offenders were located after traffic crashes in the local area.
Theft of registration plates
17/01/2017 Nottinghill Place: SOLVED - Male offender has removed both number plates from the victim's Toyota hatch and placed them on his vehicle.
Steal from motor vehicle
12/01/2017 Global Plaza: Unknown male offender on a bicycle has stolen a mobile phone from the roof of the victim's Toyota sedan which she was putting her children in the car.
21/01/2017 Missouri Way: Unknown offender/s has gained entry to the victims Ford utility by forcing a side window of the tray canopy. The offender/s has stolen tools from the tray.
26/01/2017 Riversdale Road: Unknown offender/s has gained entry to the victim's Mercedes Benz sedan by unknown means and stole property, including keys from the vehicle. The offender has then gained entry to a shed on the victim’s property, where property was stolen from a Mitsubishi utility in the shed.
