MAYORAL AND DIVISIONAL COUNCILLOR
CANDIDATES INVITED TO OUR 23 FEB MEETING
Those running for Gold Coast
Mayor and Councillor for Division 2 have been
invited to attend and speak at our 23rd Feb Neighbourhood Watch
meeting.
This is a tradition of ours and the timing is perfect given that the
local council elections are planned for Sat 19th March.
At the time of writing, those running for the
position of Gold Coast Mayor in 2016
number 5; the incumbent, Mayor Tom Tate, Penny Toland, Jim Wilson, Brett Lambert and
Gary Pead. Cr William Owen Jones
(Division 2) is running again and at the time of writing is unopposed. It is hoped that they will all accept our invitation to come
along and tell us a little more about themselves.
This will not be a political forum / debate - the candidates / incumbents will speak briefly (5 minutes) about themselves - not about policies etc.
During refreshments - after the meeting - you are all welcome to meet and mingle and ask any questions you wish of the candidates / incumbents.
As residents you are very welcome
to come along to any and all of our public
meetings – no need to RSVP.
