THE FATAL FOUR

When you are on the roads over the next fortnight, please drive safely and arrive at your destination alive.

Consider the people on the road around you, who are probably all trying to get somewhere to spend time with those they love.  Leave a little extra space between you and the car ahead, let people merge from lane to lane without being ‘boxed-in’.

What ever you do, take a break every two hours when travelling.  Australians tend to try and travel very long distances to enjoy their holidays.  Beware of fatigue if you are on a long trip.  A few seconds inattention will kill you … or someone else.

Have a good trip and don’t forget the Fatal Four causes of deaths and serious crashes:
  • Drinking and drug driving
  • Speeding
  • Driving whilst tired
  • Failing to wear seatbelts.
Remember, road safety is everyone’s responsibility

On behalf of The Oxenford NHW Group, have a Safe and Merry Christmas and see you in 2012.
