Just received an email from an Oxenford resident who received a call this week from someone purporting to be from the Oxenford Community Centre. The caller asked details about the person's age, partner's age, if they worked full time and if they owned their house.
The person answered these questions and only afterwards thought that perhaps all was not 'legit' - the person now feels that this could be a scam to see if they were home during the day. The person in question lives alone and is now quite concerned.
Please - never reveal personal identifying information over the telephone about yourself unless YOU initiated the telephone call. It would be appreciated if you could pass on this information through your networks.
