Theft from utilities
An increase in reported offences involving property being stolen from utility type vehicles, has local Police urging persons who own utility’s to make sure property kept in the tray of the vehicle is secure. Trade vehicles with tools and equipment were being targeted. Property should be kept in secured lockable storage compartments and people should make sure lockable canopy’s and storage compartment are locked before leaving their vehicles.

Theft of registration plates
Thieves are targeting vehicle registration plates. Vehicles with their plates stolen have been parked at shopping centers, theme parks, on the street  and in driveways. Offences are occurring day or night. Police urge vehicle

Wind windows up and lock doors
Keep valuables out of sight
Don’t leave keys in the ignition
Park in busy well lit areas
Immobilise your vehicle
