OXENFORD CRIME REPORT FEBRUARY 2011

During February the number of vehicles broken into has greatly reduced.  A number of businesses had their glass door broken by thieves searching for cash.  At one business a white Toyota Rav4 was seen acting suspiciously.


Burglary

5/02/2011      Myall Court: The offender has searched outside sheds prior to forcing a window to gain entry.  A computer, camera & office items were stolen from the house.

Break and enter premises

02/02/2011    Old Pacific Hwy: The offender has smashed a glass pane in the business door to gain entry.  The offenders have searched the counter area for cash.

05/02/2011    Michigan Drive: The offender has forced a classroom block window to gain entry.  All classrooms in the block have been searched and a number of computer keyboards & mice have been stolen.

20/02/2011    Michigan Drive:  The offender has smashed a glass pane in the business door to gain entry.  The offender has searched for cash.

21/02/2011    Cottonwood Place: The offender has broken a glass pane in the door with a screwdriver to release the door lock to gain entry.  The offender has searched for cash.  A white Toyota Rav4 was seen on in the vicinity of the offence.


Stealing

04/02/2011    Emerson Place: The victim has left a mobile phone on a bed whilst at a party.  The unknown offender has taken the phone.

12/02/2011    Roseapple Circuit: The victim’s mobile phone was stolen whilst the offender was at the address.

19/02/2011    Tamborine-Oxenford Road:  The victims were swimming at ‘the rope swing’ and saw two males take their bicycles whilst they were in the river.  The bicycles were removed in a dark Holden Commodore and a black Suzuki Swift.

Theft of motor vehicle

28/02/2011    Ruth Terrace: The offenders have gained entry to a construction site and stolen a Yanmar excavator, probably on a truck or trailer.

Steal from motor vehicle

04/02/2011    Maple Court:  The offender has gained entry to the vehicle after jemmying a door lock.  Property has been stolen from the vehicle.

11/02/2011    Cottonwood Place:  The unlocked vehicle was parked in the Woolworths car park.  The offender has opened a door and stolen a mobile phone from the centre console.

11/02/2011    Tamborine-Oxenford Road: The Toyota bus was parked at the Oxenford Community & Youth Centre.  An unknown offender has removed both registration plates.

Wilful damage

20/02/2011    Michigan Drive: The victim’s car was parked on the footpath outside the incident address.  Overnight the unknown offender has walked across the vehicle damaging a number of panels.
