1928 Matchless T3 500 Single Motorcycle

Stolen rare vintage motorcycle, Highland Park

Police are investigating the theft of an extremely rare vintage motorcycle from a residence in Highland Park at the weekend.

The black 1928 Matchless T3 500 Single Motorcycle was stolen from the garage between 3.30 and 4.45 on Saturday morning.

The bike, which was It appears the offenders carried the bike out of the garage and placed it in the rear of a vehicle before driving off.

The bike, which is one of two left in the world, is the only one in Australia and is valued at more than $20,000.

At the time it was stolen, the motorbike had the QLD registration of Match28 and the historical registration of Y17 313.
