If someone offers you a large, metal beetle for sale - whether it's off the back of a lorry or not - please know that this beetle once belonged in Oxenford, a suburb of the Gold Coast in Queensland.
Despite the fact that residents were split on whether they actually liked the red-eyed bug or not...even those of us who didn't like 'Big Bertha' much would actually like her back!
So, if you have stumbled onto this webpage because you saw a large iron beetle in someone's back yard and Googled to see where you could buy your own ... or if you have seen this distinctive sculpture anywhere at all - please know that it was stolen from Oxenford and we would like it back.
