On Saturday a group of us attended the NHW Gold Coast Conference that took place at the PCYC on Dominions Rd in Ashmore. The afternoon was very interesting with a talk on CPTED by Sgt Holly James and we listened to a talk by Superintendent Jim Keogh and saw him award a resident with a Gold NHW medal for 21 years of service.
I particularly enjoyed the talk by Sgt Yvette Burgess who emphasised the importance of community spirit and encouraged us all to get to know our neighbours - but not stalk them! :)
