KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED

Two separate Regatta Waters residents reported suspicious activity along Rushcutter Avenue via this website at the beginning of last week. The information related to a white Ford Falcon station wagon whose occupants were acting shifty and a registration number was noted.

I forwarded this information to Coomera Police Station and received a reply today to say that the car has already - and very recently - been associated with drug dealing on the Gold Coast - the matter is now in the hands of a Senior Investigation Officer at Coomera Police Station.

I have passed on this information to the two residents who originally gave us this information and have thanked them for their alertness - their instincts were correct.

Everyone who lives in Oxenford is by default a member of Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch - and all of us can play our part in making this neighbourhood a safer, more friendly and pleasant place to live in.

One of the most important things residents can do is to look out for anything happening in the neighbourhood that seems suspicious or unusual and then report it to police. Some things you see may help the police to solve or prevent a crime - or to build up a case against certain individuals - and so stop someone becoming a victim.

Our sincere thanks to the residents who reported this latest incident...
