Reported Crime in the Coomera Division 27/10 to 24/11 2008 PLEASE READ ADDENDUM BELOW
There were 26 reported burglaries - up 12 from previous month - Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays have been the worst days for this. Most of the burglaries have happened between noon and 4pm. Figures as follows:Upper Coomera 16, Oxenford 5, Helensvale 3, Coomera 1 and Pimpama 1.
There have been 11 break and enters - 2 down from previous period. Saturday was the most frequent day for this - and between 4am and 8am. Helensvale State School and Upper Coomera State College were targeted once and Oxenford State School three times. Thankfully two juvenile offenders have been dealt with for a total of 18 offences at the Oxenford State School including graffiti.
Nine vehicles were stolen (Helensvale 5, Pimpama 2, Coomera 1 and Willowvale 1). Sunday was the worst day for this.
A total of 23 vehicles were broken into - compared to only 9 in the previous reporting month/period. Worst day for this offence was Friday followed by Sunday and Thursday. Worst times were both (equal) 4am to 8am and noon to 4pm. Two occured at Wet and Wild, 2 at Westfield's car park and 1 each at Ormeau Station and Dreamworld car park.
Totals for 'stealing from vehicles' Pimpama 3, Coomera 2, Helensvale 7, Upper Coomera 6 and Oxenford 5.
This information was handed out at the Coomera Consultative Committee Meeting which is held at Coomer Police Station once a month.

ADDENDUM - A note from Sgt Andrew Lake
The crime stats above for the Oxenford area for the month ending 25 Nov cover a much larger area than just the Oxenford NHW area.
Unfortunately Studio Village and Gaven Heights are all called ‘Oxenford’. The stats for the ‘real Oxenford’ area were as below. The second figures are what have been reported since 1/12/08 to today.

B&E Premises: 6 (3 at Oxenford SS) – 0
Steal from M/V: 1 – 0
Graffiti: 2 – 1
Wilful damage; 5 – 0
