FREE FIRST AID COURSES X 4

Neighbourhood Watch groups aim to improve the quality of life within a neighbourhood by minimising preventable crime, improving personal and home safety and promoting closer community ties.

With this in mind, Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch will sponsor four residents to attend a ' Provide First Aid – HLTAID003’ course with the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS).

This is a 1- day face-to-face course and requires just some pre-course study (either online or by workbook). The course will take place at Volunteer Marine Rescue’s base in Southport at a date in November 2014 to be advised – closer to the time – by the QAS.

To be considered to attend this fully paid First Aid course you must :
·         Email oxenfordnhw@email.com to request an application form
·         Be aged 18 or over – ID’s will be checked
·         Be an Oxenford resident and live within the boundary of Oxenford NHW as per the map you will find at the bottom of our website
·         Be able to attend this one-day course in Southport in November 2014 (exact dates yet to be released by QAS)
·
The benefits of this to our community are:
  • More  Oxenford residents become qualified First Aiders – to everyone’s benefit in the community
  • A number of Oxenford residents improve their  chances of getting a job if a job seeker
A number of Oxenford residents can become his/her workplace's 1st aider
