There were three burglaries
reported this month, all involved the offender opening a screen to access an
open door or window. Summer nights are a
popular time for burglars as windows and doors are likely to be open. If you leave your window or door open, please
ensure the security screen is locked.
Serial numbers are an important
way of identifying your property. You
should always try to keep a record of serial numbers, especially on mobile
phone, digital cameras, computers and other popular electrical items. Thieves often sell stolen property and police
can track them through second-hand dealer’s transaction records, with a very
high success rate when serial numbers are known.
