FREE FIRST AID COURSE - OXENFORD NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch will sponsor ten residents to attend an 'Apply First Aid' 2-day course.  Apply First Aid is the minimum qualification required by Work Health & Safety Legislation for the workplace first aider.

We had originally planned to offer this course to four locals, however, we are now able to offer it to ten individuals thanks to Mr Keith Taylor  who has volunteered his services as a trainer. Mr Taylor has been a First Aid Instructor within the Queensland Ambulance Service for over 10 years. Over this time he has trained 30,000 people in first aid, through ten different courses that he leads. Prior to this, he served in the Queensland Fire Service for 34 years, rising to the position of Acting Area Director for the Gold Coast in 1997.

Thanks to Mr Taylor, Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch are now in a position to sponsor not four, but ten residents to complete the Queensland Ambulance Service ‘Apply First Aid’ course - valued at $141.00 per person. The course will be conducted at the Oxenford Youth and Community Centre over 2 days on 6th and 7th of October (9-4pm) - applicants must be available to attend on these dates.

Please email us at oxenfordnhw@email.com for an  application form If you would like to be considered for this course - closing date is 30th June. This opportunity is open to anyone over the age of 18. Feel free to share this email with fellow Oxenford residents.
